IRIS organizes Webinar on supporting start-up companies in COVID-19 era

Isfahan Regional Center for Technology Incubator and Science Park Development (IRIS) with the cooperation of ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF) organized a webinar on "Science parks and support for start-up companies in COVID-19 era" on 12th August 2020.

The goal of this webinar was to explore ways to adjust our activities and actions based on new circumstances and to be able to work more closely and more often with each other and with our partners around the world to help overcome current difficult times and take advantage of new opportunities.

The speakers from Malaysia, Indonesia, S.Korea, China, Pakistan and Iran shared their knowledge and experiences and their proposed solutions in this regard.

The experts mostly emphasized on

various collaborations and activities under UNESCO support to deal with current pandemic and helping the communities and developing economies
The smart city project and how it is planned to create a sustainable and knowledge-based ecosystem, which will boost entrepreneurship and high tech industries in Korea.
Experiences in supporting entrepreneurship in Malaysia and china, and national policies in assisting companies during the pandemic.
Measures taken by the governments and science parks in solving the problems of start-ups and SMEs

This two-hour webinar was concluded with a Q&A section and wrap up by the experts.
